How To Create A Hyperlink In Google Docs
To create a hyperlink in Google Docs, the first thing you need to do is highlight the text in your document that you want people to be able to click on.
Once your text is highlighted, you’ll need to click on the link icon found in the menu across the top of the screen.
Now, in the box that appears, all you need to do is insert the URL you want to link to.
To do that, you can either type in the name of something you want to link to, so for example, if you wanted to link to techtimewithtimmy.com, you could type something like “Tech Time With Timmy”.
And then, it would bring up a few search results for Tech Time With Timmy, and if you click on the result you want to link to, it will insert the link for you.
Or, if you already know the URL you want to link to and you’d rather not have to search, you can just type or paste in the URL, and then click “Apply” to insert the link.
And now, your link will be added!

But don’t worry, after you click on the link and it brings up this box, you’ll just need to click on the name of the page the link goes to…
And the link will open in a new tab.

Now, you’ll be able to edit the link in any way you want. You can change the text or the URL, and then, once you’re happy with the changes, click apply and the link will be updated.

How To Add A Link To An Image In Google Docs
I think you now know just about everything there is to know about creating a regular text link in Google Docs, so let’s move on to image links. If you have an image in your document, you can actually add a hyperlink to that image so that someone can click on the image to open the link.
To do that, the first thing you’ll need to do is click on the image so that it’s selected, and then click the link icon in the menu across the top of the screen.
Now, in the box that appears, you can search or paste in your link just like with a regular text link, and then, click “Apply” to insert the link.
And that’s all there is to it! Now if you click on the image to select it, a box will appear below it so that you can open, edit, or remove the link just like you can with a regular text link.
So there you have it, now, whenever you want to add or edit any kind of link in Google Docs, you’ll know to do it.
