We are all familiar with search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and more, they are great for finding pages on the web, but once you get to that page, finding certain words on that page can be a challenge. But, by using this handy trick, you will be able to instantly jump to a specific word or phrase on any web page on any website.

How to Search For a Word On a Web Page
All you need to do is open the page you want to search and press the “ctrl” key and the “f” key on your keyboard at the same time if you’re on a PC, Chromebook, or Linux computer. (we’ll get to Macs later)
A search box should now appear somewhere on the screen, it varies depending on your browser, in Google Chrome it’s in the top right-hand corner, and in Firefox it’s in the bottom left. If you use a different browser just look around the screen, it should be fairly obvious.
Once you’ve located the search box, just type the word or phrase you’re looking for and it will automatically scroll down to the first place that word or phrase is mentioned.
If the word or phrase you entered is mentioned multiple times on the page, there will be up and down arrow buttons next to the search box. If you click the down arrow, it will jump you down the page until you reach the last time the word appears on the page.
If you prefer not to use the up/down arrows, every time that word appears on the page it will be highlighted, so you can just scroll down the page until you see the highlighted word.
How to Search For a Word on a Website Mac
If you want to do this on a Mac, the process will be fairly similar, but instead of pressing the keys “Ctrl” and “f”, press “Command” “f” and the search box will pop up just like on Windows.
How to Find Words on a Website on iPhone
If you’re browsing the web on an iPhone (or an iPad) the ability to find words on a webpage can be extremely helpful. To do this on your iPhone or iPad, open the Safari app and go to the page you want to search. Then tap on the share icon and scroll right on the bottom menu until you find the option “Find on Page” and tap that.
Now just type the word or phrase you want to search and use the up/down arrows to scroll around similar to on a computer.
How to Search for Words in Chrome on Android
If you want to search for words on a web page on your Android smartphone or tablet, open the Google Chrome app and go to the page you want to search. Then tap on the three dots in the top right-hand corner, and select “Find in Page”.
Now just type the word or phrase that you want to search and use the up/down arrows to scroll around the page just like on a computer.
So there you have it, now you know how to search for a word on a website no matter what device you’re using.
