Video Description

In this video, Timmy shows you how to print from a Chromebook in 2022. And it’s actually pretty easy!

Unfortunately, since a service called Google Cloud print was shut down at the end of 2020, some really old printers no longer work with Chrome OS at all, which is certainly a shame.

But as long as your printer isn’t super old (even 5 – 10 years old is probably okay), it should work just fine with your Chromebook.

If you want to make sure it will work, Google has put together a chart to help you find which Chromebooks are compatible with Chrome OS.

If you want to use a wired printer with a USB cable, but your Chromebook doesn’t have a traditional USB port, you’ll just need a USB-C to USB A adapter like this one.

If your printer has a built-in scanner and you want to learn how to use it to scan on your Chromebook, check out this video.
