Hey, thanks, but this just does not work. An heic file is downloaded. Nothing has changed.
I think there’s a strange thing like if the photo has been automatically backed up to Google Photos from your phone as an HEIC file, then even if you upload it to Google Photos from your computer at a later date, it will still download as an HEIC file.
If you rename the photo on your computer, upload it again, and then try downloading the renamed copy, that should work as it should trick Google Photos into thinking it’s a different photo.
